Random UK Address FAQ
RandAddress generates realistic-looking United Kingdom addresses covering England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. Each profile includes a street address, city, county, postcode, and a complete identity—perfect for developers testing UK-focused applications or anyone who needs UK address data for privacy purposes.
UK addresses use postcodes instead of ZIP codes, and the format is quite different. A UK postcode consists of an outward code (area and district) and an inward code (sector and unit), such as SW1A 2AB. Instead of states, the UK is divided into countries (England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland) and counties. Street naming also differs—you'll find High Streets and Lanes rather than numbered streets.
Our database includes over 5,500 cities and towns across all four UK countries. England has the largest coverage with over 4,400 locations, followed by Scotland with over 500, Wales with nearly 500, and Northern Ireland with over 100 towns and cities.
The postcodes are format-valid and use the correct area prefix for each location, but they are randomly generated and may not correspond to actual delivery points. The city, county, and region data are based on real geographic information. This makes them ideal for testing postcode validation and UK address forms.
Zero storage. You can use the tool for free with no account registration or barriers to entry. All saved addresses are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded to any database—in fact, we don't even have a central server for your data.
