New Hampshire Address FAQ
RandAddress generates realistic-looking New Hampshire addresses covering cities across the state. Each profile includes a street address, city, ZIP code, and a 603 phone number — 603 is the only area code New Hampshire has ever had. Useful for testing ship-to-NH e-commerce flows, trying out sites that expect US address data, and running QA on apps that need to handle the six New England states differently.
Yes for general retail. New Hampshire is one of the five U.S. states with no general sales tax — so clothing, electronics, groceries, and household goods are tax-free at the register. The carve-outs: a Meals and Rooms (Rentals) Tax of 8.5% on prepared food, hotel stays, and car rentals; and a small interest-and-dividends tax that is being phased out by 2027. Neither touches ordinary retail purchases.
The cities, ZIP codes, and 603 area code are real New Hampshire data; street numbers and street names are synthesized at request time and do not correspond to actual properties. A common use case specific to NH: simulating the cross-border shoppers or Amazon-style deliveries that make "NH shipping address" a frequent test scenario. Do not, however, use these for actual shipping, USPS verification, RMV applications, or any workflow requiring a deliverable address.
New Hampshire ZIPs span 03031–03897, entirely in the 030–038 block. Hillsborough County covers the densest stretch: Manchester 03101–03111 (the state's largest city), Nashua 03060–03064, plus Merrimack, Hudson, Bedford, Goffstown. Rockingham / Seacoast uses 030xx–038xx (Portsmouth 03801–03802, Salem 03079, Derry 03038). Strafford County (Dover 03820, Rochester 03867) sits in 038xx. Merrimack County — containing Concord, the state capital — uses 033xx (03301–03305). Western NH: 034xx (Keene 03431), 037xx (Lebanon 03766). Northern NH and the White Mountains run through 035xx–038xx.
All ten counties are represented, weighted by population. The generator's output skews toward Hillsborough County — Manchester and Nashua together hold roughly a quarter of the state's population — with regular appearances from Concord (the capital, Merrimack County), Portsmouth and Dover (Seacoast), Rochester (Strafford), Keene (western NH), Laconia (Lakes), and second-tier cities like Derry, Salem, Merrimack, Hudson, Londonderry, Bedford, and Goffstown.
